Decide who to feed Christmas dinner to for casino cash and coins in Scrooge

Some of the 3D effects from the holiday feature film “Scrooge” are rubbing off on this new Microgaming slot game for December.Watch snowflakes fall not only from the screen in the theatres but on the backdrop of this 5-reel 50-payline slot. Two registers above the slot, one on the left and one on the right, will show the date and the other tallies a running number of free spins.Listen to the click clack of horses’ hooves on cobblestone and the jingle of bells when the gold door knocker hits the reels. Enjoy a bit of prose in the beginning, introducing you to the all familiar Scrooge story and its characters and then get to spinning. There are items from Scrooge’s office like clocks, money, safes, keys, and ledgers all of which can be combined for wins. Street lamps border the slot and burn against the backdrop of night but once Christmas day arrives everyone on the reels begins to celebrate from Tiny Tim to all the ghosts of past, present and future, heck, even ball and chain Marley is getting into the spirit. Night becomes day and the reels go from dark to light and become much more colorful even the Christmas lights get turned on.

How to play Scrooge

There’s a Christmas countdown at the top of the screen and before entering the game, players get to decide when there is a winning combination on the reels between either having a day added to the calendar (you want to get to the 25th as fast as possible, of course) versus a free spin.

Once players get to Christmas they trigger the free spins feature where all wins are doubled. Scrooge will make you laugh in this slot; he’s rather animated to say the least. Three or more of the gold doorknocker symbols will begin the Xmas Dinner Bonus in which players feed five hungry characters.

Each time the doorknocker hits the reels, it makes an ominous sound and is followed by the soft tinkle of bells; I like this. There’s a Scrooge wreath decorated with coins, Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim (with tattered clothes) and all three ghosts of Christmas past, Scrooge’s past business partner Marley (Marley’s eyes roll back into his head on the reels with a ball and chain draped over his head).

“And it was a very uncommon kind of online slot, for once or twice when there were angry words between some dinner-carriers who had jostled each other, he shed a few winning paylines on them from it, and their good humour was restored directly. For they said, it was a shame to quarrel upon Christmas Day. And so it was! And so back to the slots they went...” (all apologies to Charles Dickens)
